Do I need to lubricate my cases?

When processing brass cases for reloading, we ALWAYS recommend lube. We use it here in the shop on every case, because our machines are happier with it.

You can buy premade options online, or make it yourself. We do the latter since it’s cheaper. Our secret lube recipe is a 10:1. 99% Isopropyl Alcohol to pure lanolin oil. We also throw in a little orange oil as the last part (for that nice citrus smell in the shop all day). 10:1 for us is a great mix, not too sticky or thick, and cleans up nicely when we wet tumble our brass after.
